I bought a package of those fizzing

tablets that are normally used to clean dentures -- efferdent or some similar

brand – originally because they are great for removing deposits from deep

inside glass vases or odd stains deep inside my stainless water bottles. Crumble

up a tablet and add a bit of hot water and let it sit.

I have found that this works wonders for

removing stains from the vitamix pitcher, too. It’s less powerful the more

diluted it gets, though, so if you’re filling a vitamix halfway full, you might

need a few tablets. I do this every few months and it keeps it like new.

All you have to do is take some baking soda and add enough water to make a paste.  This will clean any stain off the container or blades.  You have to scrub it a little, but it's very easy.
