Guest guest
I soak mine the night before, I soak and rinse a sea vegetable (kombu, arame, wakame). It goes in the crockpot first, followed by beans, then twice the volume of the beans with water (I don't measure it, but that's close enough). I might add some spices, depends on need. Bring to high; cook on low all day. I prefer though, using a regular pot, make a big batch from pre-soaked beans, then freeze in quart bags, adding them to the crockpot when making soup, chili, stews, some sauces.
