Guest guest
OK, I'm sure some people will get a laugh out of this... I got a Whole Wheat Pita Bread recipe that was posted on either the Quick Vegetarian or Fat Free Vegan group. I made it twice with great success (2 cups whole wheat flour, 3/4 cup water, 3/4 tsp salt). So then I wanted to try it with Chickpea flour. Well the chickpea flour stays too sticky to roll it out. I tried dusting it with whole wheat flour and adding more whole wheat flour but still had some issues. I did end up with something that will be edible some how but not what I intended. So is there a rule of thumb...... like maybe use 1/2 whole wheat flour and 1/2 chickpea flour? I recently traveled to Argentina where I heard about a pizza crust made with chickpea flour so I was trying to get to that. Thanks for any advice and hope you get a laugh out of it ! 8-) (It was not a good bread day.... I won't even go into my fiasco with the breadmaker on another bread!)
