OMG!!!

Just had to share... I just made the Oatmeal Raisin Cookie recipe in Rip

Esselstyn's ENGINE 2 DIET book.

No added oil. 1 cup of unsweetened applesauce instead. THEY ARE FANTASTIC!!!!

Whole wheat pastry flour. Sure they have some sugar in them, but its a cookie

after all! They are delicious. Worth the cost of his book.

My fav sections in RIPS book include Chapter 4, THE MYTHS OF NUTRITION and

Chapter 5 about the impact on disease of the standard american diet

(SAD!!!!!!!!) and a wonderful summary of nutrition on obesity, diabetes,

cardiovascular disease and cancer.

Rip takes all the teachings of his dad, Dr Ornish, Barnard, McDougall and

TCCampbell and synthesizes them in a very comprehensive and clear way for the

lay person. This is a remarkable book. I have purchased about 6 copies for

family and friends and they are GETTING IT!!!

Thanks Rip.

Now off to grab a cookie and some oat milk! :)
