Guest guest
Personally for me I would rather see a little fat in the recipes rather than so much soy. I have had an estrogen dependent endometrial cancer and am really trying to avoid soy because of the phytoestrogen properties. I have read the China Study and Dr McDougall's books, that say that soy is not a problem, but when I eat soy I develop excess estrogen symptoms. So I don't believe that soy is not a problem especially for women. Breast cancer, ovarian, and prostrate cancer are also estrogen dependent cancers. It would be nice if they did a hormone test for women instead of yearly mammograms. I believe there is way too much estrogen in our foods including the BPA in canned foods. I have personally witnessed long time vegans developing breast and endometrial cancer from excess estrogen. And I don't believe that soy is not one of the culprits. I realize this is a fat free vegan list, but I just want to make people aware that excess soy is not a good thing. Dee
