Guest guest
Hi all. What are you all using for teriyaki sauces. I have purchased some from Whole Foods but then only gasped when I got home and noted toasted sesame oil in it.. Now if I were to use 1 tablespoon it lists 0 gms fat. But who uses 1 T of teriyaki sauce!!!!! Another organic teriyaki sauce I have uses soybean AND sesame oil ugh!!!!!! Do you make your own?? Recipe? Thanks Tom
Guest guest
I haven't tried it, but if I were to (and I just might now that you've brought it up) I'd start with this one in at the fatfreevegan recipe site. I mix soy sauce, agave syrup (used to use honey), fresh grated ginger, a tiny bit of minced garlic, and just a little bit of fresh lemon juice. If I have sherry handy (I occasionally do for cooking), I add a splash of that, because Jeff Smith always used to say that the key to Asian sauces is the trinity of garlic/ginger/sherry.
