Guest guest
Hi Everyone, My husband and I became vegans last Feb after attending McDougall's Costa Rica trip. We weren't vegetarians before doing this. My husband's cholesterol came down 40 points in the first month and he was sold on it. I have been reading your posts but haven't written before. I am bringing a sweet potato dish on Thanksgiving to a friends gathering and we will be the only vegans/vegetarians. I would like to WOW everyone with a great dish so does anyone have any suggestions. I am gluten-free also but that shouldn't come into play with a sweet potato dish. Thanks very much, Barb Saabye Sarasota, FL and Falmouth, ME ie: " Snowbird "

Guest guest
Hi Barb, I would suggest you take two sweet potato dishes to share. Nest one serving dish in a hollowed pumpkin for a dramatic presentation. Susan's site has many recipes to choose from; http://www.fatfreevegan.com/search/search.pl?Terms=%22sweet+potato%22+side+dish Are you also taking enough to eat in case the rest of the meal is way off your eating plan? You are wise to be thinking ahead and preparing. Hugs of Support, Teresa M.
