Guest guest
I'd recommend calling in advance, if possible, to any restaurant you haven't been to. SAT and FRI nights are tough times to ask for major changes in recipes due to volume of business. Also, so many restaurants have posted their menus, it's easier to check and, if needed, call based upon when you read. When my father visited recently, not having eating out much in recent years, I was able to glom several menus and make decisions in advance (no surprises). " o I got the mushroom ravioli and since I asked for no sauce the cook came and asked if I would like a drizzle of olive and garlic on the ravioli so it wouldn't be plain and I agreed and it was delicious " This is a fat-free list! I'd respectfully recommend drizzling some balsamic vinegar or a no-fat dressing. As to fajitas, when I was " higher fat " vegan I could get restaurants to use olive oil rather than butter for sauteing. Haven't tried this as " no fat " suggesting a little wine, water, and maybe flavored vinegar. I have had a grilled portabello sandwich that probably had a little oil in the process. Can't win 'em all. FYI, Mark
Guest guest
Thanks Mark I know this is a fat free vegan list I was just putting that up as an example and I also wrote that it was after my grandmothers funeral so honestly being fat free was not on my mind plus being the only vegetarian in my family and in a group of 30 I was just happy to find something I could eat and that they where willing to work with me like I had mentioned before I have been to places that just plain refused to substitute or change a dish to fit my needs And I was in no way recommending anyone to have exactly what I had that day once again just an example or something I have eaten while going out but I dont think one day of having a drizzle of olive oil and garlic on my food is wrong Blessed BeMARIzone 10www.facebook.com/mari.t.hernandez
