Guest guest
I believe you can also use it on the iPod Touch too, but unless you have paid internet service for it, it may only work sporadically (my nephew has an iPod Touch, and internet will work in free wi-fi zones-there are apps for finding those too BTW, iWiFi and Wi-Fi Finder are but two. In the link below, they say "Those with an iPhone have a slight advantage over touch users since the app harnesses the GPS or cell phone signal to pinpoint your location and pull in listings nearest your location.")http://vegdaily.com/2009/03/vegout-app-for-iphone-and-ipod-touch-has-us-hungry/And since this is a recipe list, I shoud probably also post a recipe to stay on topic. The other day, I made a salad from all the veggies I had in my garden -no measurements-just put in & toss. It's even something you could make while on vacation (just need a sharp knife & a bowl really, and of course a fork or spoon to eat it with)Fresh Herb, Tomato & Cucumber SaladCherry tomatoes, cut in half-I used a mix of Sweet 100's (red) and Sunsugar (orange/yellow), but any variety of tomato you have or like will do-very pretty with two colors thoughCucmbers, chopped- I used lemon cucumbers, but Armenians would be great too (if you only have the standard green ones, those'll work-just add a little bit of lemon juice to them because both Armenians and lemon cucumbers have somewhat of a lemony flavor to them)Fresh herbs-chopped-whatever you have, but I used Basil, Oregano, Rosemary, Thyme, Parsley, Sage, TarragonFresh Garlic - 1-2 cloves, chopped (not from my garden, but it was of the local organic variety)Salt, to taste (I used RealSalt, which is locally produced in Utah)Toss together & enjoy! You can add anything else that you like to this-it's very versatile --- On Mon, 9/21/09, erin riley <rileysoprano wrote:erin riley <rileysopranoRe: vacation veganism Date: Monday, September 21, 2009, 6:07 PM Funny, I haven't even found that one yet... thanks for the tip! That said, does anybody have any ideas relating to how a fat-free vegan can survive when away from the home environment? I'd love to go on vacation once in a while, but......... ......... .......just eating fruit, although I would survive, it won't be the same as the enjoyable variety that's possible and usual at home. (We don't want to cook while on vacation). Maybe that's just not possible. I hope some of us will have some good answers to this vexing problem. Norm -- I am using the free version of SPAMfighter.
