Guest guest
As a retired officer of the court and published author (not in the food venue), I must proffer that there are some pretty good " Chickpea Masala " recipes available to all free on the Internet, thanks to Google and other search engines. No need for ruffled feathers. Concerning the sharing of one's favorite recipe; it would more likely not be considered a reason for gastric upset by any author to have a single recipe appear on a site such as this when it is offered with recognition, including name of book and author. Personally I would be flattered! What better endorsement, and for a nanofraction of the cost of a book tour. Having been a life-long vegan, and one who omits use of oil wherever possible, I rarely purchase a cookbook unless I receive first-hand endorsement or know the author. This is a member only access site and I would wager that a few copies of the book in question would be sought out and purchased by members as a result of word of mouth testimony. Having said all this; I can attest to the fact that there will be few counselors willing to give more than a snicker to the thought of hunting down the party responsible for such a hearty endorsement, unless, of course, the poster happens to be a celebrity with deep pockets and an egregious history of civil tort. Generally speaking, tort law defines what constitutes a legal injury and establishes the circumstances under which one person may be held liable for another's injury. The " Chickpea Masala " recipe issue here hardly rises to a matter of criminality, let alone heated discussion and temper tantrums. Has anyone watched the world news today? Oops, perhaps so!
