My biggest advice to everyone regarding

weight loss.. is more fiber! lots

more. I eat gnu bars- from <http://gnufoods.com/> http://gnufoods. com they

have 12 grams of fiber. I eat 1 to 3 a day depending on how busy I

am

(meaning- did I get a chance to sit down and eat- let's face it us

mama's

can get busy). They are low calorie 140 calories, 4 grams of fat, 12

grams

of fiber. calories and fat depend on flavor, fiber is always the

same.

Eating three of those GNU bars a day pretty much meets the total

recommended amount of sugar daily for a woman by the American Heart

Association.

It clocks in at 24 grams of sugar, daily recommendation (press

release was out today) is 25 grams. I wrote a long post about

this with numbers/stats of note just now at:

http://www.soulveggie.com

Low fat? Three of those bars is 12 grams of fat... almost a

whole day's worth of fat or half a days (Ornish/Esselstyn recommend

between 14 and 24 grams of fat per day, which is kinda what this list

strives for).

As to fiber, there are many healthier alternatives:

http://www.wehealny.org/healthinfo/dietaryfiber/fibercontentchart.html

The fiber is essentially from " cereal. " A bowl of

cereal with non-dairy milk and raisins would, imho, be healthier (and

as a bonus, less expensive).

I prefer to get my fiber from whole grain breads (love my bread

machine), pastas, and beans...
