Guest guest
" sahm of 6, vegan for 4 months now. have lost 80 lbs, 50 since going vegan. We are a Christian family. I love helping others achieve health through a diet change. check out my blog for more recipes and reviews of great healthy living products. I am not completely fat free- and will be working at incorporating more ff recipes into our diet. We do a lot of smoothies- that are ff. http://veganfamilystyle.blogspot.com blessings, debra " It might be a challenge for you, but I wish you the best. A couple of your recipes incorporate a lot of added fat. Just one serving of that Chipolte Sausage has 12 grams of fat, and you but vegan ranch dressing (which contains, from the recipe, 1 cup of Veganaise). That stuff clocks in, on its own, around 9 grams of fat per serving. So, if we assume one tbl per tortilla (which doesn't like likely), with the rest put in, that's over 20 grams per serving. As we try to follow Ornish, Esselstyn, and McDougall, the recommendations are for between 14 and 24 grams of fat PER DAY. Regardless, I wish you the best in learning to eat more ff. Here's a relatively ff vegan ranch dressing the the List Owner dreamed up: http://www.fatfreevegan.com/dressings/vegan_ranch_dressing.shtml It can be done! Guest guest
Mark, I have done FF or LF in the past. These past 4 months I have not and I have lost 50 lbs. Not that I don't think that I shouldn't incorporate more FF recipes into our lives. We do eat a ton of raw fruits and veggies- raw meals, smoothies once a day our lunch, and these are FF. My hubby eats mostly the higher in fat meals- he has hypoglycemia and the higher fat and protein keeps him from having an attack. He went from having a couple a day to maybe 1 every couple of weeks. I do test recipes and a lot of premade products to review on my site- but most of my own recipes are much lower in fat. For instance my spicy sausages are much lower in fat. That said, I know there is always room for improvement. I do have a heart that yearns to learn. THank you for visiting my blog- and the compliment on the pictures. Blessings, Debrahttp://veganfamilystyle.blogspot.com
