Guest guest
Keda I noticed you wanted the nutrition analysis on line. I have been using a similar nutrition analysis program at www.nutritiondata.com/ It is at MyND I had hoped that Cron o Meter would allow a drill down so that I could know which items to increase if there is a shortfall. It uses the same USDA data base with some extra information such as nutrient suggestions and anti inflamation, and it is online. It took some time to get used to because when I updated the tracker with a changed recepe, it adds the old to new so instead of 1 quantity it became 2 in the final analysis. The way around is to clear the tracker and add in recipies or work with the items in the tracker and not update via the recipes. Robin The above comments are in response to keda maru's email of 23/06/09 00:22 as quoted below: i am a cronometer user. it enables you to select foods/recipes and see how much macro and micro nutrients were contributed by each food. you are however unable to go backwards and select a nutrient and see which which food contributed how much to that nutrient. did that make sense? all in all, it is by far the best nutrition software, i've use. my only complaint is that it is not web based. but that's minor. -keda On Mon, Jun 22, 2009 at 7:15 PM, Debbie <debbie (AT) pobox (DOT) com> wrote: I'm at work now and can't try it, but I'll let you know. There are others on this list who use CRON-O-METER; perhaps one of them might step in and answer? ddb5pan2 (AT) googlemail (DOT) com wrote: I notice you use Cron-O-metre. The linux installation instructions are not clear to me so I have asked for help in the Ubuntu conference. Can you tell me if the program allows you to drill down on a nutrient. For example if it says you have eaten 700mg of calcium, can you drill down to see what foods have contributed to the total and how much they have each provided?
