Guest guest
I'm from the Columbus area. Yes, it is hard to do fat/free vegan when eating out. My honey doesn't believe in cooking and still asks to eat out probably 5x a week. I've only been doing the fat-free vegan thing only two months or so. For breakfast, I order dry wheat toast and fresh fruit if available. Sometimes applesauce but I really don't like the sweetened kind. And then salads no dressings or croutons and lots of plain baked potatoes the rest of the time. Once in awhie, we do those burrito places like Chilpolte or knockoff that can provide bean, rice, and veggies in a tortilla or a bowl. I hate paying $3 for a plain baked potato several times a week but it is worth it to be healthy and try to set an example for my honey. He is doing better. We do order his favorite pizza still - he's promised only 3x a month now. But for the last ten years I just order a fourth or third of it no cheese. If you get onions or peppers, the pizza is very good without cheese. And you won't be so thirsty later on from the salty cheese. But you know there is oil in that crust! I suggest to eat an apple before you eat out with friends and save the almost inevitable " pig out sessions " for these delectable fatfree, vegan desserts when the cravings are too much. So much better for you! Best wishes! Tammy
