Guest guest Posted April 26, 2009 Report Share Posted April 26, 2009 Well, I can't use hard water as my excuse. My DH (dear honey in this case) manufacturers water softeners! LOL! Almost all of the components are made here in the heartland of Groveport Ohio! I think it is likely one of the best water softeners in the country. I gave up shampoo and conditioner because my hair doesn't need the extra ingredients to be shiny. And I only drink water at home(we make reverse osmosis devices too)! So I think the magic touch was first boiling the beans in the evening and then simmering all the next day in the crockpot. I'll be looking for more recipes like this! But the honey's tummy did cramp up a bit since he's not used to all that fiber! I told him it was " revenge of the lima beans " since we spoke badly of them when served to us in elementary school!
