Guest guest
>Last time I checked, this was a fat free vegan recipe list. For someone >who complains about people not trimming their posts, you certainly do >like spamming the list about your blog. 1) every post I've made that just references my blog is only about a blog post that has direct meaning to the charter and goals of the list. Many of my blog posts are not related to the List. I don't post aboutthem. I'm also courteous enough to not put my blog post of note INTO an e-mail sent to the List. I figure if I describe what it's about, briefly, provide a link, people can check it out if they want. Why clutter up the List? Why post the same thing twice? Let's see: I researched and wrong a very long " 15 reasons to avoid added fat/vegetable oil " article, and referenced it as a couple of brief lines of text in a post to this List. Gee, was it on topic? Ya think? Should I have posted the entire article on the List? I think that would have been quite rude. Anyway, before accusing someone of spamming, maybe you also might want to take the time to learn what the word means. Your use of that word in this context is totally incorrect. I even if you were right, there are a lot of people with personal URLs in their blogs and you could be spending a lot of time accusing them of the same thing (but still in error). 2) since I provide a short URL and description when I make a germane blog post, and when I post to the List, I take the time to edit down replies, is it a wonder that when a List co-moderator asks people to do the same and the next day there's a flood, I might want to point it out. 3) that people are wasting so much emotional time and energy on debating an issue that isn't an issue is unfortunate. That people send notes to other than me directly complaining about the " tone " of my momentary sarcasm about replies (and believe me, the digests really get hard to read), is amazing, and wasteful of your and their time. I addressed no one directly, on purpose. If people don't like something I say or it's " tone " (I mean, who really cares?), I suggest people not bother the list moderators with such petty matters. Move on. They provide the service for free, work very hard to keep it maintained, and you aren't making matters any easier. If they don't like my tone, they don't need YOU to tell them. They'll let me (or any other person) know directly. Finally, I would not have responded to this, but the issue of people bothering others about " tone " of a suggestion post to the List had been on my mind, and since you attacked me directly with an inaccurate accusation (let alone, a waste of time... you're the first, if memory serves, to ever complain), I thought I could snuff out two blocks of sour tofu in one OT note. Now, can we let the matter rest? It's wasting everyone's time and I'd like to considerate the thread dead. No need to beat bad tempeh.
