Guest guest
Well, since there's so much off-topic posting why not join in: I used to have an office in DC near NASA that had a great salad bar nearby (particularly for breakfast). I was able to speak with the manager and pointed out that the fresh fruit, vegetables, etc., that I wanted were HEAVIER, yet much cheaper, than the meat, eggs, and so forth. To wit: half a melon, some strawberries, grapes... you get the idea. He knocked off, if memory serves, $2 a lb. for breakfast and made sure the cashiers were aware of it. Trick was to be polite and respectful. Oh, and when ordering a pizza without cheese, it's usually a good idea to specify " no parmesian " as well. About half the time it'd be sprinkled on over the veggies if I didn't mention not to a priori. FYI, Mark (and be sure to leave as many copies of the thread as you can in your posts!) Guest guest
If you are ever in Greece, make sure also to mention no feta either, because apparently when you say "no cheese", feta doesn't count (even though it IS cheese)--- On Sat, 1/3/09, Mark Sutton <msutton wrote:Mark Sutton <msutton More OT: veg discounts Date: Saturday, January 3, 2009, 2:00 PM Well, since there's so much off-topic posting why not join in: I used to have an office in DC near NASA that had a great salad bar nearby (particularly for breakfast).
