Guest guest Posted December 29, 2008 Report Share Posted December 29, 2008 I am normally quite here,but I wanted to let you know I went to your blog and I think I see what might be keeping the extra weight on- it's the dairy and eggs. We did the same thing, we started this wild vegan ride in April of 08. It was my attempt to help my DH lose weight. He has a history of heart disease and high blood pressure/cholesterol in his family and I didn't want him dying young, esp. since he's in a very high stress job. I asked him if we could try vegetarian eating to lose weight-he agreed, he lost about 10 lbs and stopped-still a bit over where he wanted to be- then we went on vacation and I took along a couple of books Dr. McDougall's book and skinny b* & ch-well after he picked those up, he said lets do it- lets go vegan. So we cut out the eggs, cheese and dairy and we were amazed at the fat melting off us. I have to say, in no way are we deprived- Susan does a great job w/ her site-LOVE IT!!! as does Bryanna Clark-Grogan-love her too! you ladies are a God send- we eat wonderful foods, I make a mean tofu chocolate pie and great fat free cookies-to satisfy the sweet tooth. Once you feel how great it feels to eat this way, you can't imagine ever wanting to eat greasy cheese or eggs again! best of luck and I wish you good health.
