pumpkin pie recipe?

About 2 years ago I was at a party hosted by an American Seminole

Indian and someone brought a vegan pumpkin pie that was obviously made

with fresh pumpkin, it was kind of pureed but still had some of the

stringys, it was naturally very sweet, and no crust. It was so simple

and so good that I can still taste and see it in my memory but

although I have searched everything I can find, I still havent found a

recipe that looks to me like it would end up the same.

 

Does anyone here have a clue as to what I'm asking for or where I may

find it?
