Pie crusts?

Before I became vegan, one of my favorite low-fat pie crust

substitutes was rice.

 

I used white rice, bound together w/egg, for sweet pies, and whole

wheat rice, w/egg & some grated cheese, for savory pies.

 

Of course that's not vegan, but is there a way you could bind the rice

together with something else? Bananas & e-nergy, maybe?

 

Not an answer obviously, but maybe you'll get an idea you can adapt.
