Guest guest
Hi Catherine It is a step in the right direction. They also lable their soem of their crumpets as vegan. I always check baking flour too (from any shop) - some of it says suitable for vegetarians and some doesn't. Guest guest
Although once in awhile I get lazy and buy bread from the store, it's really easy to make your own... a bread machine is GREAT for bread and pizza. Takes about 15 minutes of effort, probably costs around $1 or less for whole grain 2 lb. loaf or humongous pizza, and just tastes so good. If you're a novice at it, plan to invest a few attempts to learn how to get (rather recognize) the right texture of the dough. Boy... it's great to wake up to in the morning if you use a timer! I think that a crockpot, wok (no-stick), bread machine, and general purpose covered pot, are absolute essentials in a minimal kitchen. The wok is also useful if it's raining and you can't find your umbrella. FYI, Mark http://www.soulveggie.com
