Guest guest
Sorry to hear about your condition, but at least you may have found the solution. I've posted a lot about Esselstyn's work at: http://www.soulveggie.com .... then, as webmaster of Howard Lyman's website (http://www.madcowboy.com) my interview with Essy just after my father had his first heart event. I spent days preparing for the interview and I tried hard to punch through his ideas as best I could (he loved the challenges): http://www.madcowboy.com/02_MCIview05.000.html Essentially, Essy's advice is NO added fat (including avocados and nuts for those with heart disease issues), and go totally vegan ( " China Study " influenced). There's a video or two on my blog (above) where he explains the issues of plaque. Essy has said that with 3 to 4 weeks of a NO added fat vegan diet, you can effectively reverse heart disease (reduce the risk of plaque events, which are a key issue), and if continued, most likely prevent them. I asked him about the genetics issue in the interview, and his answer was most interesting. Go for it! I've been following his advice (I've no signs of heart disease) for around 18 months now, and I was stunned (after about 14 weeks) that I really did lose my taste for the added fat. The weight loss has been a nice " fringe benefit. " Best wishes to you! Mark
Guest guest
Thanks for all of the links. I am awaiting Esselstyn's book from Amazon and will continue my research based on the many replies. I will be counting on groups, such as this, for support. Warmest regards, Lucy , Mark Sutton <msutton wrote: > > Sorry to hear about your condition, but at least you may have found the solution. > > I've posted a lot about Esselstyn's work at: > http://www.soulveggie.com > > ... then, as webmaster of Howard Lyman's website (http://www.madcowboy.com) my interview with Essy just after my father had his first heart event.
