Guest guest
Barb, would love your choc fudgsicle with pinto beans recipe.. I use beans in our green smoothies.. We have them for breakfast and dinner most days.. by adding the beans they are more filling. One thing though- with our hot weather I don't like cooking beans. THey take a long time and heat the house up. then it dawned on me... lentils! I could up a batch in no time and added them to our smoothies.. yay! I plan on filling our pantry with canned beans for quick meals when on sale but we cook most from scratch. So the lentils were a good solution. blessings, debra

You can also soak lentils overnight and eat them raw. I don't know how they would work in smoothies that way, but they are delightful to snack on - crispy and slightly spicy. You can soak them overnight, then drain them and leave them in the bowl, rinsing them off once or twice a day, and they will sprout in a few days. They are great on salads or mixed with a tofu mayo to make a sort of slaw or stir-fried in place of mung sprouts. Sparrow

Guest guest
regarding the fudgsicle recipe, it's actually Chocolate Ice Bean Bars, and Dr. Fuhrman posted it to his forums once in a conversation I happened to see, and he said it was going to be in his " Eat For Health " bookset and it didn't show up there or in his recipe site. So, I don't know if it's okay to post it here. How 'bout I just send it to debra and if others are interested I can ask Dr. Fuhrman if it's okay to post. -barb On Jul 23, 2008, at 8:30 PM, Debra Garner wrote: > > Barb, would love your choc fudgsicle with pinto beans recipe..
