Dry saute (with no added oil) over medium high heat : 2 whole sliced onions 1 red bell pepper, sliced 2 cups bby carrots or sliced carrots. 1T of your favorite garam masala or curry powder 2 cloves garlic, mashed. Add little water and deglaze on medium heat several times. Pour in 1/2 cup water or broth to simmer, add 6-8 sliced tomatillos, 4 finely chopped fresh plums 2 fork-mashed bananas 2T soy sauce 1.5 cups cooked chana-dal, or garbanzos. rinse salt off if canned.. Stir in, sprinkling a a little at a time, 2-4 T whole wheat flour. Watch how it thickens, add a little more water to make a nice gravy. Whole recipe 8 servings, about 1c Calories: 1236 155 Carb: 255 32g Fat: 13 g 1.6g Protein: 49 g 8.1g Served over brown rice with steamed bok choy. This could easily take more chana-dal.
