I've copied the recipe we were discussing to the end of my e-mail. It may not be 50% fat, but an avocado sandwich with hummus, tahini, and mayo is more likely to be pretty darned high in fat than not. Made as a tomato sandwich with a tiny schmear of avocado, low-fat hummus and homemade tofu mayo, minus the extra tahini, it's probably approaching acceptable range. I may be overreacting, but Russell had mentioned in a one-liner that it looked tasty but high in fat and offered his favorite version: toasted bread with tomatoes and nothing else. I spoke up in the first place because the original poster (Samantha) defended the sandwich, saying she needed to eat lots of fat to stay healthy. I spoke up in the second place because I felt like I was being told it was wrong of me to speak up in the first place. Know that the last thing I want to do is attack other list members. Do you think I should send a private message to Samantha apologizing or is it better just to let it all go? I don't want her to think I don't like her or am judging her harshly. Sparrow -=-=- Toast with Topping - I am breaking the rules which aren't of mine, with avocado added, honestly, it comes from the earth not a fast food outlet it is natural, yummy, and thus intended for us to eat it... Buckwheat bread from health food shop Hommous freshly squeezed lemon juice avocado -as much or as little as you like! tomato soy mayonnaise tahini Freshly ground black pepper organic herb salt Toast the bread and add toppings! Add mixed lettuce leaves to side of plate.

This was supposed to go offlist, not to the list. I apologize! And, since it's out - Samantha: I do apologize to you for any stress or insult I may have caused you. I'm going to go hide now. Sorry everybody! Sparrow
