Guest guest
New research from Dr. Dean Ornish shows that a low fat (10% of calories from fat) vegan diet can halt and possibly reverse prostrate and other cancers: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/main.jhtml?view=DETAILS & grid= & xml=/earth/2008/0\ 6/16/scidiet116.xml Essentially, it also shows that your genetics are not the prime issue (a myth one hears all the time regarding heart disease, cancers, and diabetes... in heart disease it's only a 3 to 6% of the population issue). So... a very low fat vegan diet can reverse/prevent heart disease, some cancers, and diabetes (a la " Dr. Neal Barnard). Pretty much a no brainer, imho... especially when you factor in the destruction factory farming does to our air, water, soil, and the planet in general. ....but, just preaching to the choir here!
