Day 17, Monday, 4/28/08

 

I am so grateful for James. My bean soup didn't turn out well, and I was

getting cranky because there wasn't much in the house for me to eat that

didn't require a bunch of prep, so he said, " I'm taking you to the store

to buy you a big load of veggies and fruit, " and he did. As I've said

before, I have to sometimes work hard to eat enough, and it makes my

work even harder if there aren't veggies and fruits and quick foods

around to snack on.

 

Pulse: 72

Took thyroid meds?: Yes

Other meds: Iron supplements

Walk miles: 3.4

Symptoms: Mild joint pain; moderate heart palpitations; skin is still

oily; still have my period; trouble with mental focus and irritability

(probably wasn't eating enough)

 

Planned food:

 

B: Shredded wheat with unsweetened soymilk

L: Bean soup, salad

D: Curried veggies, brown rice

S: Fruit, cut-up veggies, toast

 

Actual food:

 

B: Cereal w/soymilk

L: Toast and grapefruit before our walk; peanuts and blackberry soy

yogurt after

D: Brown rice with Thai chili sauce and chutney, mango

S: Whole-wheat garlic bagel with tofu mayo, banana, rice crackers,

peanuts, bell pepper with oil-free hummus
