How Day Fourteen went

Pretty easy day, but because I've been so busy getting ready for my

niece to come, I haven't cooked much, so I 'm a little bored with my

food. We'll be eating out tomorrow, and I look forward to finding a

creative eating-out solution. I'm usually able to find something

wherever we eat out, so it shouldn't be a problem.

Day 14, Friday, 4/25/08

 

Pulse: 78

Took thyroid meds?: Yes

Other meds: aspirin twice (2 each) for headache

Walk miles: 2

Symptoms: Moderate headaches

 

Planned food:

 

B: Hot cereal, fruit

L: Beans, rice, corn tortillas

D: Spaghetti, asparagus

S: Fruit, cut-up veggies, homemade popsicles, toast

 

Actual food:

 

B: Toast

L: Salad sandwich

D: Pasta with vegetable sauce (tomatoes, garlic, spinach, mushrooms,

spring onions), mango

S: red peppers, pickled cabbage, vegan sushi, bread

Dear Serene, Don't let eating oyt intimidate you. there are some really good choices availabale in the neighborhood - Cha-Ya (completely vegan) on Shattuck (my fave!) and Cafe Gratitude (a little pricey) and Herbivore, also on Shattuck. Eat well! Shen

Thanks, Shen. I did really well. We actually ate at The Original (used

to be Mel's), and they had vegetable soup (very low fat) and I had

spaghetti marinara with no cheese. Then we had dinner at the Berkeley

Bowl -- I had vegan sushi and vegan minestrone. I'm stuffed. :-)
