Day 9, Sunday, 4/20/08

 

There was some big stress in the evening, and I said, " I am really

craving some deep-fried junk food right now, " but then I realized that

wasn't actually what I was craving. I was craving something to make me

de-stress, and eating does de-stress me, but I figured I could eat

pepper strips and hummus and both de-stress AND not have stomach cramps

for the rest of the night, so that's what I did.

 

Pulse: 84

Took thyroid meds?: Yes

Other meds: None

Walk miles: 2

Symptoms: moderate joint pain (hips, knee, neck), oily skin

 

Planned food:

 

B: Oatmeal; piece of fruit

L: Lentil-vegetable soup

D: Barbecued seitan, whole-wheat rolls, salad

S: Fruit, cut-up veggies, homemade popsicles, toast

 

Actual food:

 

B: Oatmeal (nothing added); an orange

L: Lentil-vegetable soup, salad with fat-free dressing

D: Barbecued seitan, whole-wheat-and-rye bread, steam-sauteed red

cabbage and onions

S: Red pepper strips, whole-grain bread with no-oil hummus
