Pretty cool. Day 2, Sunday, 4/13/08 Blood pressure: Meter is definitely broken. Have to get a new one. Pulse: 72 Took thyroid meds?: Yes Other meds: Took two aspirins last night after posting my journal, because I had a bit of a headache, and two this afternoon for what I think is sinus pain (the weather's been weird lately); one iron pill Walk miles: 1.8 Symptoms: Some toe pain last night and today (mild, in my left big toe); oily skin; mild headache upon waking; also, I didn't think to mention it yesterday, but I had joint stiffness all day yesterday (I probably didn't mention it because it's pretty common for me these days); it's milder today. Sinus pain (I assume) in the afternoon. And I don't want to be indelicate, but things are running rather smoothly than usual today. Planned food: B: Oatmeal; piece of fruit L: Sweet potatoes, salad D: Seitan Italian sausage, spaghetti, broccoli, salad S: Fruit, cut-up veggies, leftover chana dal (1/2 - 1 cup) Actual food: B: Oatmeal (plain); tangelo (also, ate one of James's strawberries before bed last night) L: Sweet potatoes, salad (mixed greens, roasted tomatoes, raw sliced mushrooms, roasted-garlic vinaigrette (recipe below)) D: Seitan Italian sausage --http://www.everydaydish.tv/Recipe%20Pages/Spicy_Italian_Vegetarian_Sausage.htm\ l ; spaghetti (sauce recipe below), broccoli, purple asparagus S: banana, carrot, leftovers from dinner Roasted Garlic Vinaigrette 2 T mashed roasted garlic 2 T balsamic vinegar 2 T mustard, any kind 1/4 cup water, or as much as you need for the consistency you like salt and pepper to taste (optional -- I usually leave it out) Mix it all together and pour it on salad. :-) Easy Mushroom Spaghetti Sauce 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes, with the juice 8 oz. mushrooms, sliced 1 Tablespoon granulated garlic Heat on medium until the mushrooms are cooked and the sauce is as thick as you want it.
