Guest guest
Just so y'all know, the steamed sausage freezes just fine. I thawed it overnight in the fridge, then sliced it up and heated it with some easy homemade spaghetti sauce (recipe below) and served it over spaghetti. Really yummy. Guest guest
Right now my favorite way to have those amazing veggie Italian sausages is on a pizza roll. I take a wholegrain tortilla, spread some pizza sauce or spiced tomato paste on it, slices of the sausage, then any veggies I want. Bake 10 minutes or until good and hot. Now, the tortilla won’t get firm enough to pick it up and eat it like regular pizza, so I bend the bottom edge up, then roll it like a burrito. It comes out nice and thick depending how I slice the sausage (I use one whole sausage on the pizza) but rolled up it’s easy to eat and SO good! Guest guest
I should have specified, I eat one whole sausage but I can’t always fit it all on the pizza. I have a bowl of homemade veggie soup with it so I toss the slices that won’t fit on the pizza roll into my soup – equally yum!
