Guest guest
Looking at this as an experiment has really helped. A friend of mine said: " a scientific spirit of inquiry might help (along the lines of " If I eat that instead of this, I'll screw up the experiment and I won't know " ) " , and that has really kept me from even the tiniest slip, because I want to see how it works when I do it 100%. Anyway, here's today's journal, which I also posted to the McDougall board. Blood pressure: can't get the meter to work. :-( Pulse: 85 Took thyroid meds?: Yes Other meds: None Walk miles: 3 Symptoms: During walk, mild headache and fatigued legs. Went away after rest and water, and was fine for the walk home. Pretty much constant hunger, solved by munching on cut-up veggies all day. :-) Planned food: B: Oatmeal; piece of fruit L: Salad with roasted garlic, mushrooms, and balsamic vinegar; purple asparagus; chana dal (1/2 cup) D: Beans (1/2 cup) & brown rice & salsa & veggies S: Fruit, cut-up veggies Actual food: B: Oatmeal (nothing but oats and water); piece of fruit (tangelo) L: Salad with roasted elephant garlic, mushrooms, and balsamic vinegar; raw purple asparagus; chana dal (1/2 cup) (beans, berbere spice, water, garlic, vinegar) D: Beans (1/2 cup) & brown rice & salsa S: Fruit (banana), cut-up veggies (carrots, raw cauliflower with roasted garlic and balsamic vinegar, bell peppers), rice crackers, kappa maki (seaweed, white rice, cucumber), cup of iced rooibos tea Serene
