You can flavor it the same as oatmeal, but it’s NOT a grain (most websites and even vegan cookbooks mistakenly identify it as a grain, but it’s not). Because it’s actually the fruiting body of the plant, it has a much higher protein content and MUCH higher mineral loading than a typical grain. That’s why it’s recommended for dieting.
