Guest guest
The bean soup I used is called HamBeens flavor because you are supposed to add ham to the soup. The seasoning pkt that comes with the beans is vegetarian, mostly just a smoke flavor. This is a yummy " southern flavor " soup. Hehe, a spark of genius as I was throwing it together if I do say so myself...LOL. It IS super yummy! Vegged Up Bean Soup 1 pkg Hurst's 15 bean soup (HamBeens flavor) 12 oz baby carrots 16 oz turnip greens and roots (Publix has them in a frozen pkg) 2Tbs Salt Directions: *prepare beans as directed (I soak overnight) *drain water, rinse beans *add back to pot and fill almost to top with water *add turnips and carrots *add seasoning pkt that comes with the beans and salt *let cook for at least 3 hours (I let it go all day) *serve with some homemade cornbread
