Guest guest
You’re right, and you can just as easily make delicious vegan pizzas at home, if you’re worried about that. My point was that the cheese isn’t necessary to bind the ingredients to the crust. I’ve never had the toppings fall off, and it’s quite good. I just didn’t want anyone to think they can’t enjoy pizza without cheese. Anna On 22/2/08 8:40 AM, " kimhodges63 " <timkim wrote: Sounds like a yummy idea. However, I don't eat out (or delivered) as I've found that some foods you would never suspect to have animal products in them, do. Restaurants are not above adding animal fat or bases to food to " enhance " the flavor. Like adding chicken stock to rice or broccoli when cooking or real butter to biscuit dough. Or even handling your food when preparing it. The same hands, whether gloved or not, are likely handling meats and other animal products as well. And I can't rely on the server to know if the items are true vegan or not. They typically don't care and will just tell you what you want to hear. It's just something to keep in mind. Kim P.S. My apologies to the group regarding my salad dressing recipe idea faux pas earlier; the toffuti sour cream is not fat free. Guest guest
Hi, We occasionally get cheeseless pizza from the local kosher vegetarian pizza shop. I know there is no meat ingredients there, becaue they serve dairy and kosher laws prohibit their mixing. Sometimes I put some vegan cheese on it at home, but mostly we eat it just with the veggie toppings we ordered without the vegan cheese.
