Guest guest
I don't own a copy of " Some Like it Hot. " So, I can't speak to any similiarities (although some probably exist). As I understand it from Intro to VFS or Press Release, the recipes in SLIH were veganized in VFS. Don't know if more were added or not. One of the reasons, from conversations I've had with Jon Robertson, for starting their own vegan cookbook publishing company, is the hassales they had with publishers regarding (a) including vegetarian (and yes, non-vegetarian) options in some book(s?), and (b) marketing issues (Jon and Robin wanted to focus more on the veg'n community). Having dealt with carnivore editors in helping put together " No More Bull! " I'm entirely sympathetic. It's amazing the things they wanted to do to recipes, descriptions, and ingredients. A real battle that I can't fully discuss (yet). Suffice it to say that doing a vegan cookbook with companies that are mainstream ain't easy (and this certainly doesn't include that group in Tennessee).
