Guest guest
No secret, Anna... simply taking in fewer calories than I was expending! :-) Actually, I attribute a lot of the weight loss also to the fact that I am a big believer in getting a MOVE on! I'm out there walking or hiking most days of the week, and this also causes my metabolism to speed up, and burn more calories of whatever I do put in my body afterwards. Diets don't work, as most everyone knows, so the only thing to do is to eat well and exercise. This and blogs like FatFreeVegan are an absolute Godsend! I challenge anyone, including carnivores, to check out the recipes and look at Susan's photos of food and NOT drool! But the proof is in the tofu pudding, right? I get my lab results in about a week, and it will be interesting to see where I am with that. My weight is the best it's been in years, and my blood pressure is 122 over 68. Back to the walking component... that's what our bodies were designed to do, and it's true what they say: " use it or lose it " . I urge anyone who's trying to lose weight to adopt a vegan (or at least mostly vegan) diet and MOVE. Here's a link to something that has helped me in that regard: http://walking.about.com/ Congratulations, Anna, on that almost one-year anniversary! Woohoo! :-) , Coop <rodstruelove wrote: > > Oh I want your secret! LOL I had hoped merely going vegan would cause me > to lose weight but unfortunately it hasn¹t.
