Guest guest
I bought a head of cabbage and was thinking about how to fix it and remembered my Mom's wonderful scalloped cabbage. The recipe was similar to this one:http://www.dianaskitchen.com/page/recipes03/a31024i.htmClearly neither low-fat nor vegan. Does anyone have any suggestions how to convert this recipe?TIA--Martha
Guest guest
Hi Martha, You could try making a white sauce with soy milk and cornstarch. Whisk 1 Tbl of cornstarch with 1 cup of milk and heat on low, stirring until thickened. For this recipe just layer 2 cups of the soy white sauce with the cabbage and eliminating the butter. Bon Appetit! Gina ---- Martha Kuhn 10/05/2007 12:46:40 AM Scalloped Cabbage I bought a head of cabbage and was thinking about how to fix it and remembered my Mom's wonderful scalloped cabbage.
