Hi there!

Ingrid Newkirk, PETA's President, just posted a thought-provoking essay

about human rights and animal rights. She doesn't discuss any specific

ballot initiatives, but I think it's timely considering the recent

discussions here on the list.

Ingrid will be here in Oakland this Sunday, November 16th, at 2:00 pm.

She'll read from her new book, One Can Make a Difference, and sign copies.
