Guest guest
Hi everyone, I've been told at other Hobee's locations that their veggie burger was vegan. But when I ordered there today I thought I'd double check and the server told me it had no cheese and no eggs. Then she came back 10 minutes later and said they double-checked the box and it does contain cheese and eggs. I don't know if this is the case at all Hobee's locations, but just wanted to warn everyone to be aware at the location on Central Expressway in MV. I'll contact the company and see what they say. They assured me that the tofu scramble is vegan as is the black bean chili. Take care, Melissa
Guest guest
I'm curious, do you know if they are making their own burger or are they using a commercial brand? I've had something similar happen to me before when buying packaged foods. i.e. Scrutinize label, it's vegan, I buy. But I now make it a point to re-check ingredient labels on products I buy on a regular basis because sometimes the manufacturer will change the ingredient list, while the package design stays the same. I've only had this happen to me once (it was a Trader Joe's label product) but it was an unhappening awakening. Thanks for the heads-up Melissa Tammy Bay Area Vegetarianswww.BayAreaVeg.org
