Guest guest
The next Vegans for Action meeting will be on Saturday, October 25th in downtown Oakland. We'll share a vegan potluck dinner at 5:30 pm, followed by a presentation at 6:30 pm showing and explaining the various uses of non-human animals in U.S. American society, including pets, food, clothing, science, and entertainment. This is a great survey, both to learn about our own reasons for being and wanting to be vegan, as well as to help us in speaking with others about veganism. Friends and family, vegan and non-vegan, are welcome and invited. Please see our web page for full details:http://vegan.meetup.com/485/calendar/8961575/If you would like to be informed of all group events, we suggest you join the meetup group, located at:http://vegan.meetup.com/485/We strongly believe veganism should be accessible to all. African Americans, Latinas/Latinos, Native Americans, Asians, Asian Americans and all those who also make up our vibrant community are invited and welcome to all events. What people have been saying about the meetings:"This is the best meetup group ever! If you are vegan or vegetarian or remotely interested in being veg*n, you should be here. It's a group of people who are totally friendly, interesting, and fun to talk to. ... I was a little hesitant to attend this meetup at first, because I can be kind of shy, but I am really glad I did. It's a totally supportive atmosphere where you can discuss and explore what being a veg*n means to you. The people are great!! It's a perfect place to find a community of like-minded people. Miranda and Victor are awesome hosts and make everyone feel really welcome.""Great way to share ideas and ways to talk to others about the benefits of being vegan, while meeting new people over some wonderful food. I plan on attending this every month.""It was just great. Nobody could have done it better."We look forward to seeing you on the 25th!Miranda Robbins and Victor TsouOrganizers, Vegans for Action
