Help Educate Circus Patrons At UniverSoul Circus

 

Please join Citizens For Cruelty-Free Entertainment at UniverSoul Circus, October 25 through November 2, to educate patrons about the inherent cruelty of using animals in circuses.

 

UniverSoul now leases animals from at least three different animal leasing companies, including Lancelot Kollman Ramos who the USDA found responsible for causing injuries to two lions resulting in the unnecessary death of one, lying to investigators about his actions, using physical abuse to train lions, and in the past two years been fined in excess $50,000 for violations of the Animal Welfare Act. In addition, UniverSoul leases three elephants from George Hanneford III. These three elephants were all taken as babies from their mothers and homes in the wild. Hanneford uses fear and the violence of a bullhook or ankus (which is a weapon that resembles a fireplace poker) to dominate the elephants. One of the elephants routinely forced to give rides has a physical defect with her leg which causes her to limp. In addition to elephants, tigers, zebras, camels, horses and other animals are

used in the show.
