Undercover footage reveals more horrific cruelty at CA egg farm

The superstars at Mercy for Animals www.mercyforanimals.org are releasing footage of an undercover investigation they did at a Southern California egg factory farm that reveals the same horrific cruelties animal advocates have come to expect -- birds crammed in battery cages so small they can hardly move, birds with open wounds and broken bones that are untreated by veterinarians, dead birds decomposing in cages still containing live birds producing eggs for human consumption, and more -- including overt and horrific cruelty by the workers.

 

The footage will be revealed in an exclusive story run tonight on ABC 7 news at 6:30 in SF by reporter Dan Noyes.

 

The investigation provides even more reason for people to vote YES on PROPOSITION 2, which would address some of the most egregious cruelties on egg farms.
