I have eaten at Cha Ya in Berkeley at least a dozen times, and have always gotten terrific service and unbelievably delicious food. Also, it is 100% vegan, unlike VegiFoods which is vegetarian and vegan.

It's possible my VegiLife information is out of date. I went there a few years ago and the "egg rolls" had egg. Maybe they're vegan "spring rolls now." I never went back, so it's possible the menu is all vegan now.

I'm glad you like Cha-Ya and that it has worked out for you. Others have not all been so lucky, as one can see from various online reviews.Which food items are non-vegan at Vegi Foods? It is listed as Vegan in the UG, and I'm not aware of any animal products being used there. If there are some animal products you are aware of we should update the UG. Let us know what you suspect and I will personally ask the owner.Greg
