You've heard a lot from me lately about Prop 2, the California ballot measure that will end the practice of cramming farm animals into cages so small they can't even turn around, lie down, or extend their limbs. Today I'm writing for a different reason -- to invite you to join me the day after St. Francis Day, this coming Sunday, October 5, for an event at Grace Cathedral. As part of the Cathedral's Forum series, I have been invited to discuss the importance of caring for all creatures. The Very Rev. Alan Jones, Dean of Grace Cathedral, will be moderating. The Forum will be followed by blessings of animals on the plaza. What: Talk by Wayne Pacelle

When: Sunday, October 5, 2008, 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Where: Gresham Hall, on the Crypt Level of Grace Cathedral, 1100 California Street, San Francisco, California 94108 (directions)

More Information: The event is free and open to the public. Call 415-749-6370 or email publicity Are you interested in the link between animals and religion? Active in a church, synagogue, mosque, or other place of worship? If so, I encourage you to join our new All Creatures Great and Small campaign, which raises awareness about our moral responsibilities to animals, including those raised for food. I invite you to take the All Creatures Great and Small pledge to make more humane food choices.

Thanks for all you do for animals!

Sincerely,Wayne PacellePresident & CEO
