Thanks for that post. Has everyone seen this ad from Defenders of

Wildlife?

It is truly disturbing, showing how Sarah Palin actively promoted

ariel hunting of wildlife, and even set a $150 bounty for the severed

leg of wolves in Alaska.

For those of us who believe all hunting is wrong, this goes a step

further. Even gun toting hunters find ariel hunting to be deplorable

and unethical, much like how many meat eaters find foie gras to be

indefensible.

There is truly a choice this year for animal advocates. While Barack

isn't anywhere near as perfect as Kucinich when it comes to animal

issues, he has done some decent things, and would certainly be nothing

like the savagery of Sarah Palin.

I strongly encourage all people who care about animals to add support

for Obama's campaign in their animal activism and donations.

And to add some local SF Bay Area interest to this post, Camp Obama is

coming up at the end of the month for anyone interested in taking a

larger role in helping his campaign and helping to oppose animal

cruelty in the White House. September 27-28 in Santa Clara County,

Stockton and the East Bay. Sign up here:

" I think how we treat our animals reflects how we treat each other.

And it's very important that we have a president who is mindful of the

cruelty that is perpetrated on animals. "
