Come join us to enjoy vegan foods, an opportunity to connect with like-minded folks, relax on the grass, swim in the lake, or just hang out at beautiful Lake Temescal in Oakland.

If you're new to the Bay Area, this is a great opportunity to meet some really friendly people who also enjoy veg*nism. If you're new to veg*nism, this is a fun way to try a variety of different vegan foods. And, we welcome you to "animal experiment" and try new vegan recipes on hungry human volunteers. Vegan Food Parties are fun ages and appetities of all sizes :-)

If you're new to vegan foods and need help with a recipe, please check out past recipes by Chef Alex at http://www.bayareaveg.org/blog/category/cooking or reply to this email or even post to the list and ask for suggestions. Vegan food is a favorite topic of ours :-)

What: Grass-and-Lake Vegan Food PartyWhere: Lake Temescal (Oakland)When: 9/6/08 Saturday, 12:00 pm

Host: Pam & Roy Event Details: http://www.bayareaveg.org/events.php?EID=1900#1900

As with all of our events, everyone is welcome to join us, both veg & non-veg, members, guests, friends, etc. Feel free to bring your friends who always wonder "What do vegans eat". The only requirement is that each person bring a vegan food dish to share. RSVPs are being done via evite so we know how much grass to reserve. For those interested in carpooling, you're welcome to use the evite or better yet, make your own carpool by inviting a bunch of people to join you.

This VFP is being hosted by Pam & Roy, I'm just helping them post. But I know we're all looking forward to meeting up with new & old friends!

Cheers,Tammy
