Please support very AR friendly local radio host

Hello again All,

Writing the email re: the pesticide spraying reminded me of an email I've been planning to write. Christine Craft is currently alternating every 2 weeks with Karel in the 10pm to 1am timeslot on KGO 810 AM. KGO is a decidely mainstream talk radio station. KGO hasn't decided who it will pick to fill this time permanently.

Christine can be counted on to not only spend a lot of time on animals in the news, but she also brings to people's attention many things about animals that are not in the news at all. To say she is " animal-friendly " is an understatement. Also, she rescues abused dogs and devotes time to raising awareness about animal abuse. She is also a lawyer.

This is not to say that animals are a topic of conversation in all of her shows. I don't think she would be kept on the air if she did that. So, if you tune in, she may not talk on AR issues that night.

Anyway, I was reminded of her because she did A LOT to publicize and stop the aerial pesticide spraying of the Bay Area/Monterey/Santa Cruz. I have just emailed her with the latest updates, which you can be sure she will talk about.

Her competitor for this timeslot is a really nice guy named Karel, who happens to be gay (Christine is not). So, I was thinking that he may have people emailing KGO to choose him, in part because he is gay and they would like a gay voice on the radio. As far as AR, he isn't hostile to it (that I've heard), but neither does he advance AR causes.

Anyway, if you would like to see a very, very AR friendly person get the 10pm-1am timeslot, please take a moment to let KGO know you'd like them to choose Christine (btw, at those hours, KGO reaches from Canada to Mexico to Arizona to Colorado).

Thank you for this information. I have heard Christine before, and you are right, she is animal friendly. KGO is the highest rated talk show in the area, and very well respected. I will definitely e-mail my request to make Christine the host during this time slot, and I hope others do the same.
