Guest guest
Many of us eat, and many Bay Area restaurants serve, soy products. Here's what Dr. McDougall says about it: "Soy foods are at the center of one of the most intense controversies in nutrition; some people say they are medicines and some say poisons. They can be both, but as traditional foods, like tofu and soy milk, they are delicious additions to a healthy meal plan. However, fake meats, synthetic estrogens, and baby formulas made from soybeans are toxic." www.drmcdougall.com/misc/2008other/dvd/jul/truthdvd.htm Is he right? But this appears authoritative: <http://www.tldp.com/issue/11_00/joysoy.htm> It would seem that toxicity claims are wildly exaggerated. -- David Benfell <dbenfell
