help! Looking for a more formal place to celebrate 20th wedding anniversary

Hi everyone,

I am looking for a resturant that's more on the " fancier " side to celbrate our

20th anniversary. I am in the milpitas area so any suggestions would be great!

Hi all,> looking for a resturant that's more on the "fancier" side to celbrate our 20th anniversary. I am in the milpitas areaBobbie, Millennium in SF is "the" fancy vegan restaurant. They have many fans and consistently win in BAVeg's BEST OF VEG survey. If you enjoy walking, Millennium is reachable by BART. Recently SF Bay Guardian reviewed it, too. Some also suggest Greens in SF for their great view, but food-wise they are more of a vegetarian restaurant, but getting more vegan-friendly.

In the other direction from SF, there is Santa Cruz. Malabar Café is all veg, Sri Lankan food -- really delicious, many vegan choices. I haven't been in recent months, but it has beautiful wooden floors and tables, nice décor -- definitely "upscale" in my opinion. This is one of my favorite veg restaurants in the entire Bay Area, and personally I think it's one of the best and I'd be quite happy to celebrate my own wedding anniversary there (hint, hint to Chris .... )You can read reviews online in the Ultimate Guide (UG)http://bayareaveg.org/ugAdditionally, while "fancy" isn't a category in UG, it does have the ability to search based on an address and to show you the restaurants within a specific radius that are vegan or vegetarian, or -friendly.
